Jay McCabe
Psychologist
BA, GradDipPsych, GradDipPsych (Advanced)
I am a psychologist who came to the profession after a change of career from the public service. My combination of life experiences and more recent study and training allow me a unique perspective in which I can support clients throughout a varied range of life stages and through difficult times.
My passion for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with training and experience in other modalities ensure I create a collaborative space for clients in order for them to improve their lives by following their values. This collaboration gives space for the creation of individual, personal goals working towards fulfilling and meaningful lives for each client.
While working primarily with adolescents and younger adults with a passion for LGBTIQAP+ issues, I look forward to working with clients from all backgrounds and stages of life. I strive to provide a neurodiverse affirming space for all clients and want to create a space for all people to truly understand and accept themselves.
