I am passionate about helping you have more nurturing, fulfilling relationships. In my experience, many people come to therapy not just to cope better, but to understand why they feel this way in the first place. In therapy I can work with you to develop a deeper understanding of your personal story. In our busy, modern lifestyles many people also find it hard to find calm or stay grounded. In therapy our work may assist you develop these life skills, ‘press pause’, and live in the moment. My work is strongly influenced by ancient yogic principles and I believe that practices like yoga asana can complement talking therapy by teaching us how we respond to feelings like stress, gratitude, and uncertainty. I maintain a strong personal practice of yoga and meditation which helps me to better support clients. As a new parent, I am also interested to support clients through pregnancy, post-partum, and parenting journeys. I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches depending on client needs including mindfulness, person-centred therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

Professionally, I have experience in public health services, public hospitals, private practice, and the community sector. I have a strong research background including supervision of medical student projects and trainee psychologists, and have published in peer-reviewed journals on the interaction of physical and mental health. I enjoy teaching yoga in the community to complement my therapeutic work.

I divide my time between Aurora Psychology, my public hospital role and casual yoga teaching.
